Skip Williams

For Bellingham City Council, Ward 4

Skip Williams has represented Bellingham’s Ward 4 neighborhoods since 2022, bringing decades of community involvement to the City Council. A former field organizer for the Washington Education Association and longtime Alabama Hill resident, Skip has served on numerous nonprofit boards and helped create the Pipeline Safety Trust after his stepson died in the 1999 Olympic Pipe Line explosion.

Since taking office, Skip has worked to reestablish public safety, support downtown vibrancy, and protect Bellingham’s environment while promoting equity and inclusion. His priorities for a second term include supporting first responders, increasing housing supply for all income levels, developing parks to protect natural resources, and putting more land into public care in the Lake Whatcom watershed. Skip values collaboration and creative problem-solving, bringing together diverse voices to find lasting solutions for Bellingham’s complex challenges.

Michael has served on the Bellingham City Council for over a decade and has a reputation for understanding the details and finding workable solutions. He’s helped expand affordable housing, protect Bellingham Bay and Lake Whatcom, and ensure that growth aligns with infrastructure.

For Bellingham City Council, Position 2

Hollie is Bellingham City Council President and runs a small business, which gives her both governance experience and a real-world perspective on how city decisions affect people. She’s led work on affordable housing, the Alternative Response Team for public safety, and support for small businesses downtown. People say she’s accessible and willing to listen, and she works collaboratively to move things forward.
