Candidate Information

Jessica Ivey

For Burien City Council, Pos. 1

Jessica Ivey is a forward-thinking, community-rooted leader ready to carry Burien’s planning vision into tangible results. Serving now as Vice Chair of the Planning Commission, she helped guide the city’s newly adopted Comprehensive Plan, which brings more housing choices, green space protection, and equitable investment across neighborhoods.

A longtime civic volunteer and marketing professional, she knows both how to craft big ideas and how to execute on them. Ivey has pledged to improve safety in downtown Burien, restoring public use and family-friendly access to parks without reversing progress on homelessness and outreach.

Her campaign is grounded in pragmatic optimism, building partnerships with residents, small business, and advocacy groups to move Burien forward. Electing Jessica Ivey means advancing the thoughtful, inclusive leadership the city needs to turn plans into progress.

Steffanie Fain

For King County Council, District 5

Steffanie is President of the Harborview Medical Center Board and works as a managing attorney, so she’s used to handling complexity and delivering results under pressure. She wants to invest in co-responder and crisis programs to take pressure off first responders, expand housing through streamlined permitting and transit-oriented development, and ensure public dollars are tied to measurable outcomes. Her support comes from labor unions, housing advocates, firefighters, and The Seattle Times editorial board. That’s a coalition that reflects real confidence in her ability to get things done.
